I think it’s interesting how people around here and on the internet always talk about how fat doesn’t contribute to acne. They say how it’s just another myth and if you eat fatty foods, it’s not a big deal. Well obviously it’s a big deal in relation to obesity and otherwise. But apparently it has no affect on the skin. Could it have something to do with high blood pressure? Because obviously high blood pressure makes the skin quite red to say the least. But something I’ve found is that interestingly enough, the Eastern world, which is not always scientifically proven granted, but can be more progressive, has long taken a different stance on things.
Their pharmacists are often more trained in general, and they can diagnose problems. Most people tend to go to a pharmacist rather than a doctor for smaller problems. But so often, I’ve seen them tell people to stop eating as much fat to reduce their acne. Your skin needs oils, and obviously fatty foods can contribute to your body’s production of oils. But too much oil is bad, and too many fatty foods are bad. You would think it would be common sense, especially when people stop eating as many fatty foods and see a reduction in acne.
