Best Acne Treatment For Teenagers - August 9th, 2010

There are so many acne treatments out there, all claiming to give you the new solution for your needs. They feature both adults and teenagers, always talking about how their product works for everyone. But regardless of who you are, as you age, if you have any hormonal issues, for women, if they become pregnant, etc, these things all change the skin! So earlier in life your skin will respond differently to the exact same acne treatment! Of course, there are some that are more effective than others. But the question is, how do you find the best acne treatment for the average teenager?

There is no one acne treatment that can work as the best acne treatment for every single person! Boys tend to suffer from more severe cases of acne in their teenage years. But female acne will last longer, and women suffer a greater propensity toward adult acne that can lead to deep and burrowing scarring! But when it comes to teenagers, the two sexes are by no means the same! Of course, there are certain treatments that are more specialized to either sex. But there are also some that fall in the middle.

The best acne treatment for teenagers or really anyone else, is not going to be as harsh and damaging as one might necessarily think. When you find the best acne treatment for teenagers, you will find that it often uses a comprehensive blend of ingredients to not only attack many of the major causes of acne, but to also address the greater health needs of the skin!

Fat & Acne - August 3rd, 2009

I think it’s interesting how people around here and on the internet always talk about how fat doesn’t contribute to acne.  They say how it’s just another myth and if you eat fatty foods, it’s not a big deal.  Well obviously it’s a big deal in relation to obesity and otherwise.  But apparently it has no affect on the skin.  Could it have something to do with high blood pressure?  Because obviously high blood pressure makes the skin quite red to say the least.  But something I’ve found is that interestingly enough, the Eastern world, which is not always scientifically proven granted, but can be more progressive, has long taken a different stance on things.

Their pharmacists are often more trained in general, and they can diagnose problems.  Most people tend to go to a pharmacist rather than a doctor for smaller problems.  But so often, I’ve seen them tell people to stop eating as much fat to reduce their acne.  Your skin needs oils, and obviously fatty foods can contribute to your body’s production of oils.  But too much oil is bad, and too many fatty foods are bad.  You would think it would be common sense, especially when people stop eating as many fatty foods and see a reduction in acne.

Antioxidants & Skin - July 30th, 2009

Antioxidants have been widely known and are recommended for everyone. I heard so many people say “eat more antioxidants” or consume more of it in your diet. So what exactly do antioxidants do for our bodies? Well, they help our bodies fight against infection, help prevent certain diseases such as heart disease and cancer and more. The good news about antioxidants is that they can be found in foods that we normally like to enjoy eating often or regularly.

They can be found in various fruits and vegetables; for example, fruits might include different types of berries such as strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, cranberry; vegetables might include leafy greens. So antioxidants can be found in all different types of foods and dishes and more, and they can be found in drinks as well such as fruit juice. I once saw this commercial on television and I remember seeing them saying something like “with antioxidants” with emphasize. I do think antioxidants are very important for our bodies because they help so much with body functions and are there ready to help if become sick or ill. Since they can be found in almost any type of foods we eat, I think it’s important to eat more for improved or better result.
